Active View Viewable in Google Adsense:
The percentage of viewable impressions out of total measurable impressions.
Active View Viewable = viewable impressions * measurable impressions / 100
Note: This metric includes impressions from:
- Regular AdSense for content
- AdSense for video
- AdSense for games ad units
It doesn’t include data from:
- Link units, or Data from dynamic allocation in Google Ad Manager.
Interesting Fact:
All viewable ads are measurable
It is because we can’t prove that an ad has satisfied the standards for viewability without being measured by Active View tags.
Lets understand with an Example:
Say the advertisements on a site had a total of 100 measurable impressions. Or you can say Active View tags were able to measure viewability for a total of 100 impressions. If only 15 of those 100 impressions were ranked as viewable, then this site would have 15% Active View Viewability.
